2003-2004 sold to Poland (22 MiGs, 29+03 left in Laage as memorial, 29+09 crashed in 1996)

Deliveries

24 MiGs from GDR = 20 x 9-12A + 4 x 9-51, modernized to MiG-29G and MiG29GT (ICAO-I and ICAO-II)

Losses: 1 MiG-29 in 1996 (29+06)

Units

1991 Wehrtechnischedienststelle WTD-61, Manching near Ingolstadt.

At last four MiGs from GDR JG3: (29+20, 29+21, 29+22 i 29+25).
One MiG-29 with WTD-61 number: 98-08 (ex GDR 778, later 29+19).


1990-1994 Erprobungs Geschwader 29, Preschen.

All aircraft from former GDR JG3.


1995-2002 Jagd Gechwader 73 Steinhoff, Preschen (since 1995 Laage).

EG 29 was converted to JG 73 in 1995 and moved to Laage near Rostock.
MiGs-29 was used in 1st Staffel (Squadron) of regiment (Phantoms in 2nd Squadron)
